About us

The IIS was founded in Switzerland in March 2000 with the objective to provide training and education in Insurance and Risk Management. The IIS is a non-profit association which is financed from member contributions and course fees. 

The contents of the courses highly related to practice and all instructors have practical experience. The IIS is capable of fulfilling special training needs by the development of new courses or by the appropriate selection of instructors/advisers. 

The IIS offers several courses of the IIA Insurance Institute of America in English and has a formal co-operation with this leading Institute for Insurance and Risk Management education. The IIS is also the exclusive test center of the IIA in Switzerland. Additionally the IIS collaborates with the CII Chartered Insurance Institute in London and other partners.
