The IIS was founded in March 2000 in Zurich. It promotes training and education for the insurance industry and risk management in Switzerland. It offers several programs of the The Institutes, former IIA Insurance Institute of America and it is the partner of the SIBA Swiss Insurance Brokers Association in respect of training and education.
