Reinsurance Principles and Practices is one of the modules of the Associate in Reinsurance Diploma. The content of the 15 assignments provide the students with a comprehensive overview of reinsurance and enable them to optimize reinsurance programs by learning how to effectively use the various types of reinsurance treaties.

Reinsurance Principles and Practices teaches how to build a better book of business through an enhanced understanding of reinsurance terms and pricing, reinsurance treaties and facultative certificates.

Learning Design

Blended Learning Design: this means that we offer different learning “channels” to enable a flexible and effective study success. Like this you will be well prepared for the exam and the application of the content on the job.
Students are expected to prepare classes by reading the relevant texts for the four seminar days, additionally there will be mini case studies either in or after class to follow up and deepen the skills. An online exercising tool will allow checking the progress and giving opportunity to track knowledge gaps.

Exam

We will register you for the next possible exam date after completing the module unless you arrange for a replacement date. Exams may be repeated.

Exam dates for paper and pen exams are always on the first Monday (or Tuesday) in March, June, September or December. The registration deadline is 7 weeks before the official exam which is therefore on 12 of January, 12 of April, 12 of July or 12 of October.

Certificate

Electronic Certificate for passing the ARe 144, exam ARe designation and invitation to the celebration of the successful passers of exams at the IIS.
